A Visit to a Hospital: Visit the hospital There was a skirmish between the two opposing sides, in which three people received bullet wounds. The father went to the hospital to inquire about the health of one of the wounded. Once I accompanied him and saw the deplorable condition of the patients in the ward. There were about 30 beds with bedridden or semi-lying patients. About half a dozen patients were moaning pitifully and were in critical condition. One of them stopped moaning after about half an hour, and I was surprised to learn that he had passed away. After a couple of hospital procedures, the body was handed over to relatives. Pathetic scenes took place in the nearby open-air hospital department. Sick children were crying; several women suffering from some kind of disease were lying under a tree. They looked more like skeletons. An unconscious patient was carried on a stretcher. Some children were brought in cribs with broken bones. A profusely bleeding woman injured in an accident was brought to the emergency room. Several of the bandaged patients winced. The yard and corridors were filled with people, and the spectacle of suffering was unbearable. Before leaving the hospital, I murmured sincere prayers for the recovery of the sick.
