How to Recover Deleted Photos
Instagram now allows users to recover deleted content.
Users can restore images, videos, stories and more for up to 30 days.
Instagram has launched a new feature called “Recently Deleted” that will allow users to recover previously deleted content. The Recently Deleted feature is rolling out to users, and most people will get it by the end of this week.
“We know this is what people have been asking for, and now for the first time, you can view and recover deleted content on the Instagram app. We’ve also added protection to stop hackers from hijacking your account and deleting posts you’ve shared,” the Facebook-backed company said in a blog post.
Instagram has also added a security measure that will check the user every time they want to permanently delete or restore images, videos, videos, IGTV videos, or stories. A special folder has been added to the application that stores all deleted media files, including messages, stories, videos, and more.
Instagram now allows users to recover images, videos, reels, IGTV videos, and stories from the Recently Deleted folder. Once a user has received a new update, all content deleted from an Instagram account is moved to the Recently Deleted folder.
Deleted Instagram stories will also be moved to the Recently Deleted folder and will remain there for the next 24 hours. Meanwhile, all other types of posts such as photos, videos, reels, and IGTV videos will be stored in the same folder for users to recover. If the user does not restore the content, everything is automatically deleted from the specified folder after 30 days.
To recover deleted content, all you have to do is follow these steps:
- Open Instagram and go to the settings menu.
- Click Account from the list and select the recently deleted folder.
- Here you will see all deleted content that you can recover or delete permanently.
