EXTRACT OF EXAM RULES AND REGULATIONS
Minimum Passing Marks:
The minimum pass marks for each course shall be 50%. Students obtaining less than 50% marks in any course shall be deemed to have failed in that course.
Credit Hour:
A course of one credit shall mean one hour of lecture duration per week. However, in case of Seminars, Tutorials and Laboratory work, one credit hour may require more than one contact hour.
Grade Point:
Number of points, representing numeric grades, scored by a student in a course examination.
The correspondence between letter grades, grade points, and percentage marks shall be as follows:

Semester Grade Point Average:
The summation of grade points of all credit courses divided by the total number of credit hours taken by a student during a semester/term. GPA = (GP of Subject 1 x Credit Hours of Subject 1) + (GP of Subject 2 x Credit Hours of Subject 2) + (GP of Subject 3 x Credit Hours of Subject 3) + (GP of Subject A x Credit Hours of Subject 4) + (GP of Subject 5 x Credit Hours of Subject 5) + (GP of Subject 6 x Credit Hours of Subject 6) / Sum of Credit Hours of All Subjects
Cumulative Grade Point Average:
The summation of grade point of all credit courses divided by the total number of credit hours taken by a student beginning from his admission till the last examination held.
