Prize distribution marks the culmination of literary and extra-curricular activities in a college. Prizes are awarded to inspire a healthy sense of competition among the students. Students are kept busy round the year in studies, games and sports and other literary activities like debates, essay writing, elocution and stage shows. It encourages them to aspire for excellence.
Extra-curricular activities give healthy outlet to the surplus energy among the students. The present growing indiscipline among the college students is the result of lack of playgrounds and absence of extra-mural and cultural activities. Physical culture is important as mental culture. Some colleges are fortunate in extending the required facilities. It is the result of correct and honest use of students’ funds. Our college is one of them.
As usual various literary functions and sports and games competitions were held in our college. Students winning the first, second and third prizes in the various activities and items, were awarded prizes in cash and kind, in a well organized function of Annual Prize Distribution.
