Letter 1

My dear Father,
I am fine here and I hope you will receive this letter in the best of health. I received your letter ten days ago but I was busy in my midterm exams so couldn’t write to you earlier. You seemed quite concerned about my studies as my previous result was below 80%. The result of the midterm exams has been announced and you will be delighted to know that I have got 88% marks in it. I owe this success to Allah’s favor, your prayers and blessings and the proper guidance of my worthy teachers. For the final exams, I shall have to work hard even more. I find difficulty in mathematics and I am planning to get private coaching in it. I didn’t prepare myself well enough in Pak. studies and I am concentrating on it as well. Moreover, I’m trying to improve my writing speed because at times I cannot mange to complete the paper. I want to assure you that I have recognized my failings and now trying my utmost to improve them. I have reduced my sleeping hours. I have learned that one cannot climb the ladder of success with one’s hands in pockets.[the_ad id=”17141″]

Letter 2
Examination Hall,

June 3, 2007.
Dear Father,
I have just read your letter. I am relieved to know that mother has fully recovered from her long illness. I myself have been ill for a couple of weeks. I am taking medicine on the advice of the physician. The doctor says that it will take me some time to recover. But since the examinations are at hand, I have decided to start attending my classes from tomorrow. Dear father, you have asked me about my progress in studies. By the grace of Allah Almighty, I have passed my December test with distinction. Now I am working hard for my final Part-1 Examinations. You will be glad to know that I have already completed my Maths and Physics courses. But I have not finished my Chemistry and English courses yet. I have just started to spend more time on Chemistry and English. During the last session I faced some problems in English, but with the timely help from my English teacher, I have now overcome these problems. Dear Father, I ask your gracious self and the loving mother to keep me remembering in your prayers. Pay my compliments to mother and Arif.
